Reflecting On 2024: A Conversation With Rob Miller

As we say goodbye to 2024, we sat down with Rob Miller, President of RAM Pavement, to reflect on the memorable moments and significant milestones of this past year.
Q: 2024 was a big year for RAM Pavement. What stands out the most to you?
A: This year, celebrating our 20th anniversary was a major highlight. We spent a week reflecting on the company’s journey, recognizing team members who’ve been with us from the start, and celebrating everything we’ve achieved together. My wife, who’s also our wellness coach, planned activities for the entire week, and we ended it with a big celebration.
Another meaningful moment was unveiling a mural on our building. It captures what RAM stands for - our values, growth and connection to the community. Hearing from clients and even former employees, who reached out to share how much RAM has meant to them, made this milestone even more special.

Q: You received a significant leadership award this year. Can you tell us more about that?
A: Receiving the Leadership Award for Vistage Worldwide in the Charlotte market was truly an honor. Vistage brings together business leaders to share ideas and work through challenges, and it’s been an invaluable experience for me.
That said, this award isn’t just about me - it reflects the strength of the team we’ve built at RAM. Leaders like Don, Russ and Tom run their divisions so smoothly, and they’ve played a huge role in our success. I made it clear during the summit that this recognition belongs to the entire RAM Pavement team.
Q: Can you give us an update on new services introduced in 2024?
A: This year, we expanded RAM Site Services to include stone installation and soil stabilization. While we faced some delays with equipment, we’ve already started smaller projects, and things are on track for a strong 2025.
We also launched a custom-built CRM system, which has been a game-changer. It helps us stay connected with clients and follow up at key intervals - whether it’s a few months or even years after a project. This ensures that their assets are well-maintained and adds real value to our partnerships.
Q: Looking ahead to 2025, what are your priorities?
A: We are building on the momentum of 2024 with a strong focus on growth. The forecast for 2025 and 2026 is positive, and we are making significant investments in equipment and training to position ourselves for success.
To our clients, I’d encourage you to start planning property maintenance now. Waiting until spring can create bottlenecks, so it’s best to get ahead. Contact us today to schedule an assessment and ensure that your properties are ready for a seamless 2025.
Sincerely,

Rob Miller
